Meek is not Weak its humility

The word meek is often considered as weak, timid or submissive. But a meek person is actually humble, modest, confident and never stops learning.”

In today’s world the word “confidence” has been misunderstood or accepted by people as showy, flamboyancy, ostentatiousness or in simple terms has taken over by egoist, egomaniac or egocentric people who have restrained themselves from the term called “learning” in their life.

But the truth is any human cannot define a limitation for learning. This world is a ocean of knowledge each individual human exists with some skill and knowledge. Knowledge exist in everything from human, books, business to day to day life experience and circumstances.

The true meaning of confidence is self assured, sanguine, hopeful and optimistic. When it combines with humility and humbleness which encourages learning can work wonders in today’s world.

A humble person is always open to feedback which ensures self learning. The more you get know about yourself more you get chance for self improvement. We need to stay grounded to be arduous at our work.

Practicing gratitude is a imperative aspect of being humble and be thankful for what ever we have in life.

Being humble means recognizing that we are not on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much of a difference we can make in the lives of others. -Gordon B. Hinckley

We need to know both sides of the coins for example one needs to what is dreath to experience affluence. One has to know sorrow to experience happiness. Likewise a person who declares self as an expert and impede back from learning certainly lacks humility.

If we feel that we are perfect we are not allowing ourselves to make mistakes, we are not taking enough risk to enhance our learning, self improvement, test our knowledge and confidence and this will eventually crash us down.

Being humble doesn’t mean we will shy away from ones potential rather taking a venture to explore ones potential and this can be done by virtue of faith.

” Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to lose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat, and go on to win again, you are going to be a champion someday.”- Willma Randolph

A humble person not just listen to others but also give their opinion. They are open to thinking about things differently. A humble person gives others a space to speak listen to them. Thus allowing a room for learning.

Thus meek or humble person is not like a doormat that anyone can step into them. Rather they are like a great positive force which in synergy with confidence can incorporate benediction in leadership ability.

Even in bible Jesus have defined himself as meek.

” Meekness is an attribute of the Savior that’s desperately needed today.” -Anonymous
